On Feeling Thankful
by Leslie
Yes, they did.
They had three in the family,
And that’s a magic number.
Schoolhouse Rock would never steer you wrong. Three is a magic number, except when it comes to sex.
Well, at least for most people.
Since our two turned into three, the intimate moments Dave and I share mostly consist of quiet quickies one room away from our sleeping baby. Dave spends most of his time working or sleeping, so our island of togetherness is often deserted. But that doesn’t stop him from inviting me to take the trip at every opportunity.
No time or place is off limits.
Last year, on Thanksgiving, while we snuggled under a blanket on my mom’s couch watching the Macy’s Day Parade and Julia played on the floor in front of us, Dave thought it would be the ideal moment to feel me up and invite me upstairs. On Thanksgiving…during the parade…while our daughter played and my mother basted the turkey.
I looked at him in disbelief and said, “David. Are you serious?”
He said, “Well, it’s Thanksgiving. I’d like to express my gratitude to you. I’m feeling very thankful.”
It brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “Giving Thanks.”

LOL Dave sounds awesome. You have a fantastic family all around
Josh and I will be the other way around, I’ll be feeling him up under the blankets at his Mom’s house and trying to talk him into going for a walk so I can uhh show my gratitude. He’ll be the one going “Are you fucking nuts?!” ;0)
Sounds alot like my hubs too!
Dave had the right idea… never miss the opportunity for a little one on one er… thankfullness and mutual physical appreciation.
It gets a little easier when they get a little older; “Put on one of your Polly Pockets DVD’s babe… Mommy and I have to talk about something!”
