Julia’s Countdown To Christmas

Let’s countdown to Christmas.
We’ll make it a game.
You’ll need to match letters
that look just the same.
You’ll find a letter
in every stocking you see,

and a sack full of presents
wrapped carefully.

There’s a letter on each present,
and here comes the fun:
when it matches your stocking,
you can open that one!
There are 24 stockings.
Take one down each day.
When the stockings are gone,
it’s Christmas. Hooray!

I’m really excited to do this countdown with Julia! Each day, we will count the stockings to determine how many days are left until Christmas. Julia was able to count them all (to 24! which is awesome), today. She took down her first stocking that contained the rhyme above and the letter ‘A.’ She matched it up with a present - a Christmas shirt.

The Santa hat didn’t last long.

That is such a cute idea and very cute pictures! I’m looking forward to counting down with you guys on your blog, it sorta reminds me of those advent calendars (I think that’s what they’re called) though more awesome.
