Thud!

by Leslie

Did you hear that sound? It was me. Falling off the dieting bandwagon.

It started yesterday morning with the most delicious breakfast bake I’d ever made. I had a serving. And then another. And then one more. A little later, I thought it would be fun to make some homemade cookies. I had one. And then another. And then one more.

And that’s just the stuff I’m admitting to eating, yesterday.

By the time bedtime rolled around, I wasn’t feeling too good. My body decided to exact it’s revenge for blowing our plans to get healthy and lose weight by blowing all that food right out of my body.

So, I’ve been sick. And I drug the rest of the family down with me.

I hope you won’t mind if Grimm and I begin our much-anticipated All About The 80s Week tomorrow. I’ll be back on the diet, too. It’s gonna be great.

Setbacks happen in every attempt to get healthy.

I think the key for me has always been looking at it like I’m changing my lifestyle rather than going on a diet. I let myself have whatever I want, I just watch my portion sizes (too many carbs and my blood sugar goes way too high, the one thing I’m not jonesing to experience is a diabetic coma lol).

Perhaps you gave in and overate on all that yummy stuff cause you were so strict on denying yourself before. It’s all about portions dahling. :)

Hope you all are feeling better, I’m debating if I should start tomorrow or today on the 80’s thing. Josh started today, so I may go ahead and post so he doesn’t feel all lonely lol.

That’s the problem I have with my wife’s cooking. Sometimes it’s so good I can’t stop eating. Hope you feel better soon.

I know how you feel. I really screwed up my eating this week to, in particular, yesterday. I ate way too many chocolate treats, but they were soooo yummy!! I like the fact that today is a new day, and I can just start over!

Oh, I hear you on this… but not to worry… a bad day doesn’t ruin the whole thing. Just don’t do it too often.

    All will be well.

One day won’t hurt you. Get back up and start again!

    Everthing’s OK. :)

Remember when all the celebrities were on the “Zone” diet? There was a service that would prepare meals for you and deliver them to you every morning. (Of course, only a celebrity could afford it - it was thousands of dollars a month.)

I’ve always thought that is the only way I could ever eat a balanced, healthy diet. I’d have to get rid of all the food in the house and just eat those meals that someone made for me.

I ate an entire order of Dominos Cheesy Bread for dinner last night. I don’t think that even qualifies as actual food. (That sounds like one of those Lean Cuisine commercials, but that’s the sad truth.) I did have a multivitamin for dessert.

Aww sorry you fell off the wagon, I am struggling to get on it, I keep trying to get up there but it must be my short fat legs lol plus the fact that I keep buying KFCs. Thanks for stopping by my blog btw. Hope you get back on your diet soon :)
