A Priceless Monet

by Leslie

Here’s ours:

Monet

How much do you think she’s worth?

I love her endlessly and couldn’t put a price on her, but if I had to…I have a stack of vet bills I could begin adding. And tomorrow, they’re going to grow some more as she is scheduled to have surgery. Over the past few weeks, we’ve discovered that Monet has mammary hyperplasia (i.e. the incredible expanding cat boob disease). She’s got three pair of human size boobies and is about as uncomfortable as you might feel if you had six DDD breasts hanging off your chest and abdomen, growing bigger by the day. Tomorrow, she’s having a sextuple masectomy. And then she’s getting spayed. It probably won’t be her best day.

So, if you believe in God or the power of positive thinking or crystals or whatever, perhaps you’ll say a prayer, send a good thought, rub your crystal or do whatever it is you do to send some love vibes into the universe for Monet and the rest of us who care for her so much. I think we need it.

Monet has my prayers, poor little thing how horrible. Let us know how the surgery goes.

Poor kitty. I hope everything goes well. I’ll rub Budda’s belly for her.

Poor little Monet; I’ve never even heard of such a condition. I’ll send plenty of good thoughts her way.

    Oops, that was me above.

  6. Michelle on March 27, 2007 4:39 pm

Oh I’m so sorry for her. But “expanding cat boobie disease”? Just when I thought I’d heard everything. Horrible for her, but I’m really trying very hard not to smile.

    Hope she recovers quickly.

I will be thinking tons of good thoughts for Monet.

I trained to be a Vet Tech a while back (didn’t finish though cause you can’t take the classes when you are pregnant) and I saw some very sweet pets put to sleep because owners didn’t want to deal with any “burden” when it came to their pets. I am so very happy to see that you are helping out the little beauty.

And to think I was complaining over a wee little migraine.

Wow, that has to be one expensive cat!…poor you. I know how you feel though, my cat must have already used up most of her nine lives, two broken hips from being hit by a car (twice), her tail had to be amputated, she had a twisted bowel that required major surgery, and was recently attacked by some kind of wild animal, leaving a big hole in her back-end, where her spine was visible! She must be the luckiest cat alive to survuve all this stuff.
