5 Haiku Thoughts

by Leslie

Income tax refund
When oh when are you coming?
I’m broke. I need you.

Sweet nectar of life
My Diet Dr. Pepper
Oh how I miss you

My head, how it aches
This caffeine-free pregnancy
Is kicking my ass

Dishes in the sink
I hate you and I hate you
Dish fairy, please come

Sanjaya please go
You could just quit or something
Yeah, quitting sounds good

    These are hilarious!

And I think I’m officially obsessed with checking my online bank account to see if my tax return has been deposited, so that first haiku hit home for me!

There are many aspects of pregnancy that scare me, but perhaps none quite so much as the thought of nine months without diet sodas. I feel for you!

    And hurry up, tax return!

No caffeine? Seriously? Man, you are good. I gave up my Starbucks and only had ONE the entire pregnancy with Emma, but no caffeine at all? Oh Lordy.

You’re funny. My wife missed her Coke and Dr Pepper too when she was pregnant. but she cheated from time to time. No wonder our kids are so weird.
