I made the Rockin’ Girl Air Band?! And I get to rock out on the coveted cowbell?! You have no idea how much that made my day!

I am really, seriously going to put up a post one of these days, hopefully before I’m eligible for an AARP card. The amazing, inspiring advice you shared with me about blogging deserves a post, but every time I sit down to write I find myself jamming down the backspace key in frustration. I’m so out of practice!

You’re the best blogging buddy (and virtual bandmate!) a girl could wish for! Thanks for remembering me.

Congrats on the award!!! You are totally rockin’ so you deserve it.

I perused the blogs you awarded the badge to, they’re great! I loved them and ended up spending quite a while reading each one.

I do miss Kelly’s blogging, I often think about her and wonder how she’s doing.

I heart you, Leslie. I am SO STOKED to be in a band! I’ve always wanted to be, but I lack, you know, actual music skillz. Air keybaords, I can do. w00t!

By the by (and I am totally serious about this), I am, like, second cousins twice removed to all of the sibling band members of The Jets (y’know, the 80’s band). It was my dream, when I was 12, that they would call me up one day and invite me to join the Jets so I could rock out on my flute.

Dead. Serious.

But since that never happened, rockin out with your air band will be my new rockstar dream.

I have no forking idea who those people you mentioned with me are! The only Nigel I can think of is the dude from So You Think You Can Dance and surely you don’t mean him?? Thanks for letting me join the band, though! I’ve never played guitar before, so you might wanna cover your ears or something.

Also, I love that you did video blogs because whenever I read your posts now I can totally hear your voice and the way you say the words. Its kind of weird, but its totally cool.

Thank you so much! What an awesome award! It is really funny cause I spent a brief moment in time learning all the Misfits song on the bass. I still know a few of them, but I play left handed so it’s hard to show off. I can play a pretty bad ass air bass though I am a pretty good ass kicker too.

That was awful darn sweet of you to say. May I please be a roadie to the air band (it’s okay I am really strong and can totally carry a lot of air. Plus I could get one of those weight lifting belts for the really heavy air stuff, and that would make me look totally ROCKIN’)
I can’t wait to read these rockin’ girls you recommend. Each and every one.
