I’m A Driver. I’m A Winner. Things Are Gonna Change, I Can Feel It*

I have entered a contest or two during my short tenure as a blogger - Scribbit’s Write-Away Contest, The “This Blog Blows My Dress Up” Contest at This Ecclectic Life, Owlhaven’s I Am From Contest - and I haven’t won any of them. I had decided that I would not be entering any more contests in which awards are chosen based on skill and/or talent, rather, I would only enter contests that were determined by chance. This way, I could protect my fragile ego and continue believing that I’m maybe, kinda, sorta good at this. Just a teeny tiny bit and not really much at all, but maybe a little good.

Then my BBF Karly gave me this:

If you aren’t in the know, the ROFL awards are hosted by Mrs. Chicky and Metro Mama and are very big and important and special. And now I have one.

I felt so inspired that I sang The Rainbow Connection and composed an entry for The “Say It In 7″ Contest over at The World According To Suz. Here it is:

“She left me.”

“Why?”

“Damn third nipple.”

Since Suz allows two entries and one of the tiny men that works in my brain is telling me that two entries are better than one, here’s my other entry, with just a little foreshadowing:

Contest entered. Judges wowed. The prize: mine!

The contest ends tonight at 11:59 p.m. MT, so my fellow procrasinators, there is still a little time. If you start working now, you just might squeak it in before the deadline.
