The thing I love about memes? They’re basically a couple of outstretched arms asking for a virtual hug. How can you say no to that? I certainly can’t. Of course, there are times when you aren’t in the mood for a hug or someone smells bad or holds on a little too long and then it’s awkward. But not this time. So, here we go!

Six Weird Things
Tagged by Sometimes Senseless Mom at Poignant Senselessness

  1. I am afraid of chiropractors and voodoo. Although, I do own a voodoo doll. And the song “Voodoo” by Godsmack. I’m not the one who’s so far away…
  2. I have a crush on Linda Rondstadt. But only 1970s Linda.
  3. I have had a plantar wart on my right foot for fourteen years. Three different doctors have attempted to remove it countless times by various methods and it never goes away. Never.Goes.Away. We’ve tried immunotherapy, liquid nitrogen, plain old surgical cutting, duct tape, an assortment of topical chemicals and creams and injections. I’m no longer convinced that it’s a plantar wart. I’m beginning to think it’s an alien invader. I’ve named him Wally.
  4. I have a difficult time distinguishing what’s weird from what’s gross.
  5. Somtimes I act out fake dramatic scenes in the bathroom while I pluck my eyebrows and then deliver my Oscar acceptance speech in the shower.
  6. I am convinced that my neighbor down the street put a curse on me.

Holy crap!! Finally!! Thank you for the video short on the pronounciation! Incidentally, my husband can’t cross his eyes, either, which I’ve always thought was very strange. My son does this weird “eye wiggle” where he can make his eyes kind of vibrate back and forth. It’s freakin freaky. (Huh? Did I just say “freakin freaky”? Wow. So I did.) And come on, who doesn’t love cat puke??

My husband and I were just talking about Kids Incorporated the other day. I can never think about that show and not sing the song. “We’re kids incorporated, K-I-D-S.” Now it’ll be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Love the video…you two are so totally soul mates. You’re both very odd. ;) And I just got done watching Boobah for the 156th time. I don’t understand it either.

thank you so much Leslie, for participating this meme… when I was a kid, I was scared when I watched scooby doo! LOL…

Hm… you like to annoy your hubby? :-) I think that sweet… ;-)

    see you around, Leslie!

  5. Daddy Forever on August 22, 2007 12:35 am

What ever happened to the Electric company. I’m trying to get my son interested in Sesame Street, but no luck so far. I think’s suppose to be a new super hero theme school on PBS in the fall. Maybe that will take.

Are you talking about Poltergeist 2 (because 3 is the one in New York, it’s awful)? I love the reverend in that movie! He’s so creepy and perfect and I swear his character was made after Robert Mitchum’s in “Night of the Hunter”. Did you know that Julian Beck, the actor who plays the reverend was actually dying when he made that movie? He was amazing!

Oh, and I am so with you on Flight of the Conchords. I just can’t help myself, I make my crew at work listen to the songs on Youtube over and over the day after every new episode. Brilliant!

  7. Lisa on August 22, 2007 9:31 am

    “M”
    “eme”
    “Meme”

    Funny, funny, funny!

I have an odd little random Linda Rondstadt memory for you here: When my oldest kid was playgroup ready age we went around town scoping out our options and went one morning to a Waldorf group for the open sign up day. And who should be there on the playground pushing her two year old on the swing next to me? Yup. Linda Ronstadt. I played it totally cool but I gotta admit it was really hard not to gush and get all “I’m your number one fan” on her ass. I loved Linda when I was young, and now here I was standing in the playgroup playground talking to her about the wonder of wooden toys and healthy snacks.
    Yeah, that was pretty awesome.

  11. Faith on August 29, 2007 7:48 pm

That is awesome, I love it when you meme it always makes me all giggly.
