I, Leslie, Being Of Sound Mind…
by Leslie
A few days ago, Julia and I were riding through town, past the local cemetery when Julia blurted from the backseat, “Mom! Mom! I dreamed about that place last night!”
“What place? The cemetery?”
“That place there!” she shouted, pointing undeniably at the cemetery.
“Really?”
“Yeah. You were there.”
“I was at the cemetery?”
“Yeah. You were in there.”
At that point, I felt just a little creeped out and began to dig a little deeper with questions like, “Was I happy?” She said yes. “Was I sleeping?” She said no. “Where was Daddy?” She said he was at work. “What about the baby?” She said the baby wasn’t in her dream.
Finally, I hit her with the zinger, “Was I…dead?”
“Mom, it was just a dream I had.”
I can’t help it. I’m kinda weirded out.

10 Cool Kids Came To Play

Oh Gosh! I would be weirded out too! I’m not sure my 3 year old has ever mentioned having a dream.
Ummm…ya, I think that would weird me out a bit too, but just remember….it’s just a dream.
I would be weirded out too!
I love that she said, “Mom, it was just a dream I had”. Kids are so funny.
And yes, I would be a little creeped out too.
Well, that’s a little weird, but I wouldn’t let it creep you out - it sounds like in there just means walking around in there.
That’d creep me out, too. But, I’d be more afraid of Julia than of dying. Kids with psychic abilities fuh-reak me out. If her eyes start glowin’ red you better run.
My kids don’t tell me about their dreams, but my son likes to say “kill” or “dead” a lot.
Sheesh, mom, it was just a dream… quit being such a drama queen!
(I would totally freak out… and drive slower.)
I’m reading this post — and then looking at the title of the previous one. Yeah, I’m freaked out too.
Freaky deaky!
