I was braiding Julia’s hair for ballet class the other day when she slipped a hairband on her wrist and said, “Mom, I’m gonna wear this to ballet class and everyone will go, ‘Julia, what’s that?’ and I’ll say, ‘A ponytail,’ and they’ll say, ‘What is it doing there?’ and I’ll say, ‘It’s pretending to be a bracelet,’ and they’ll think it’s so cool.”

Thats is so cute. I often wonder what goes through their little heads and what a great view into Julia’s. The other day at Aaron’s three year old well child visit he absolutely refused to take his clothes off for the doctor. This from the kid who runs around the house before his bath stark naked and annoucing that fact to everyone that will listen. When I got him alone after the nurse left I asked what the problem was and why he wouldn’t take his clothes off. He looked at me very serious and asked, “Well do you have to take your clothes off at the doctor’s office?’ Kiddo, more than you care to know.
