Who Needs American Idol When I’ve Got This?!

Ever since her date with Daddy at the library a few weeks ago, Julia has been singing “Build Me Up Buttercup,” a song from a CD they borrowed together that day.

I finally caught one of her performances on video. It’s one minute and forty four seconds you won’t regret watching. Especially around 0:53.

I’m probably going to go to hell for how hard I laughed when Julia fell down in the middle of the song. My kids both sat down to watch her sing. I think they have a crush on her. That girl can sing! And she knew all the words! She’s awesome!

Since the falling (too funny) was around :35 at first I thought you had a typo. But she recovered so well and made a great come back at :53. Thanks for sharing!

Everyone thinks their kid is cuter than anyone else’s. I am usually guilty too.

That said, this was the most adorable video ever!

She’s got some pipes. And some moves. Maybe she’ll get with Posh Spice’s Brooklyn. He’s got some moves too.

Anyway, thanks for the afternoon pick me up. Hours later, my husband was still humming that song around the house.

Honestly, I am a creator of lyrics with my hearing loss, so I was truly impressed she knew so many of the lyrics. She would have done way better than me.

And…pssst…don’t tell your husband, but your daughter carries a tune just a smidge better.

Love the moment at :53 too. Thanks for the tip but I would have picked up the growl and push even without the heads up. That was stellar!

I have to admit, I have been hoping to witness the wonder of Buttercup ever since Grimm mentioned the library date last week. That was absolutely priceless.

Oh what a way to put some sunshine in my day!!! That was stinkin’ hilarious and funny to to hear you guys trying not to bust a gut with your backup singing. VERY adorable. May I suggest putting that on YouTube?
PS- Will you hate me if Braden and I buy up every single sock monkey you put up? I can’t stand how cute they are and he really really loves them so much. He’s asked me every day when Julia’s Momma is going to send him his monkey and can you please explain what a week is to my child? He seems to think every morning when he wakes up that his SOCK MONKEY SHOULD BE HERE!!!!!! LOL
