Here Comes The Sun

Lucy smiled at me
in Grandma’s arms, she heard me
and her face lit up

I’m pretty sure I got the first “social smile” from my baby. My mother was holding her. Lucy was concentrating hard on Grandma’s face when I approached and cooed, “Hey sweet girl.” She looked up at me and gave me this huge toothless grin. It was like sunshine peeking out from behind dark clouds.
