’cause playgroup’s here tomorrow
didn’t make a dent
The bad thing about hosting playgroup is I kill myself cleaning for it. The good thing about hosting playgroup is my house gets good and cleaned. However, after approximately 7 hours of cleaning, my house is still a wreck. And my yard? Oh goodness. It’s like wild kingdom. Things have just gotten out of hand. Dave and I have spent a lot of time scratching our heads, wondering how we got so far off track. Perhaps we should have spent more of that time cleaning and mowing.
Regardless, playgroup is coming. Let’s just hope they are distracted enough by my watermelon basket of fruit that they don’t notice how unkempt we are.

4 Cool Kids Came To Play

I hate to say it, but the house is going to be MORE trashed after the playgroup. I always clean when they leave.
If I didn’t have teen movie nights (and a constant stream of guests) our house would be the same.
Company can be good for getting things back in relative order.
But… um… excuse me? You there with the new baby? I think that in itself would be a nice excuse for not doing much cleaning.
I hope you’re not like my wife. When a play group comes over, my wife hides the junk in the laundry room, the closets, and the garage.
Having not hosted in a month, I can assure you that the filth is frightening. Here, I mean. I’m sure your house isn’t as bad as you think.
