The Symphony
by Leslie
Lucy and I had a date on Saturday.

I took her (and Phoebe) to the first installment of the Canton Symphony Orchestra’s SymphonyLand series – a string trio performance – at the Cultural Center for the Arts.

When we arrived and found our chairs, the trio members invited the children to come and sit closer, so Lucy tried to sit in the violaist’s seat. Then she took his dinosaur prop. To her credit, she gave it back and stayed behind the flower borderline he established for the duration of the performance, which was an incredible show of restraint on her part if you ask me. She was an exuberant audience participant, jumping, dancing, singing, clapping and roaring like a dinosaur. She gave them a standing ovation after every piece they played.
We had a great time. I can’t wait to take her to see the woodwinds next month.

Sounds like it was an amazing DAY!
how cute….did you get her on video?
@Goofball – I wish I had! But I was snapping the pictures I did get one-handed as it was. If you look closely, you can see a fingerprint was on the lens. I’m pretty much a mess on wheels.
