I have naturally oily hair. I have to wash it every day or else I look like one of The Outsiders. In fact, it takes less than a day for The Greaser look to take effect. And so, I’d shied away from conditioner. I don’t need any help with my hair looking “moisturized.” But the last time I got my hair cut, the stylist commented that my scalp and hair were pretty dry.

“You should use conditioner,” she told me.

“But my hair gets so oily. Won’t that make it worse?”

Oh no. No. No. No. NO. NO! I have completely misunderstood the interworkings of hair, apparently! According to her, there may even be a chance that the products I’d been using (you know, the cheap ones) were stripping my scalp and hair of nutrients, forcing my head to crank out oil like gangbusters to try and save it. And so, it seemed like perfect timing when I was offered the chance to give Dove Daily Moisture Conditioner a try.

The free conditioner showed up in the mail, but because it didn’t make sense to me to use some Other Shampoo with the Dove Conditioner, I went out and picked up some Dove Shampoo and tried them both out. So did my daughters. They were excited about the fancy two-step process of cleaning and conditioning their hair. And when I explained how the conditioner worked (straight from the back of the bottle!) as I massaged the product into their hair they decided, “This is like going to a spa or something!”

Dove Daily Moisture Conditioner
I liked the Dove Daily Moisture Conditioner. It left my hair looking smooth, soft, and shiny – without a greasy feeling. But I was especially impressed with the difference it made in the girls’ hair. Theirs was just so extraordinarily soft and shiny. They both loved touching their smooth hair, which was so much easier for me to comb, and Julia enjoyed whipping hers around like she was in a hair commercial.

I’d say that’s a positive review.
