There’s no shortage of love in our family this Valentine’s Day. And we’ve been spreading it around all week!
It was Jack’s first year giving Valentines.
He handed these out to the girls in his dance class and now I have to carry my heart around in a cup because it’s nothing but a puddle.
Phoebe gave the same Valentines.
Julia and Lucy had done the I’m Handing You a Lollipop Picture Valentine a few years ago, just like everyone else on Pinterest. I thought it seemed like a good year for Jack and Phoebe to do it.
Lucy decided to make cat Valentines. I thought they should say “Happy MEOWentines Day” and some form of “Are you KITTEN me?” She did not, as you can see.
They still turned out PURRfect.
Julia recreated the Perler Bead Minecraft Valentines from Funky Polkadot Giraffe.
It was our first experience with perler beads and I’m pretty excited about the stuff we could potentially create with them. They just might be my new jam.
Phoebe and I also got to provide the crafts for her Preschool Valentine party. We went with necklaces.
The pendent is actually an eraser – an adorable idea from Sunshine and Hurricanes.
Last night, I treated my mom and kids to a concert.
I wish I’d gotten pictures of the kids there. Jack was wearing “Daddy shoes,” i.e. his dress shoes. But we arrived just in time to sit down for the show and by the end, Jack was asleep! It was such a lovely night. Our best friends also went and we all sat together, but not before they served us a delicious dinner at their place. The only way it could have been better is if Dave hadn’t been home sick.
And though he was sick, he still managed to send some Valentines of his own. The kids woke up to a breakfast of stuffies.
And as I was typing this to you, some flowers showed up at the door for me.
Thirty-six roses! Delivered on a Sunday! You know, I think maybe that guy really likes me.
